Sudden Death of Old Servant
Mr. H. Hargreaves
For 40 years chief electrician at Mitchell Main Colliery, Mr. Harry Hargreaves, of 2. Victoria Road, Wombwell, died on -Sunday morning at the age of 67. The previous day he had been working as usual and before going to bed on SaturJay night had been working on a wireless set, radio being a hobby in which he was particularly interested.
He woke at 1 a.m. and less than an hour later died from a seizure. The interment took place at Wombwell cemetery on Wednesday, when the service was conducted by the Rev. W. Swinnerton, of Barnsley, formerly minister of the Barnsley Road Methodist Church, Wombwell.
Mr. Hargreaves was a native of Rawmarsh, but had worked at Mitchell Main forty years and up to recently was chief electrician. He had lived in Netherwood Road thirty years, when he moved to Victoria Road ten years ago on being married a second time. He was an associate member of the Institute of Mine Electricians
