Wombwell Division Appointment
Among the new appointments necessitated by the retirement of Mr. S. Taberner from the movement at Wombwell is the promotion of Ambulance Officer Joseph E. Hill to the superintendency of the Wombwell Division
Mr. Hill has been an efficient officer and the honour is well deserved. He is an overman at Darfield Main, joined the Brigade while he lived at Gleadless, and obtained his First Year Certificate in 1901. He served about ten years in the Handsworth Corps, and joined the local division when he moved to Wombwell five years ago.
The Wombwell and West Melton divisions and the Wombwell Nursing division have now been merged into one corps, with Dr. W. R. Dickinson as Corps Superintendent. The other chief officers are: Mr. J. W. Poole. Superintendent, West Melton Division: ‘and Mrs. Dallas, Commandant of the Nursing Division. Mr. G. Askew has been appointed Corps Sergt-Major at Wombwell. Valley Corps.
