Wedding: Copley & Hodgson

Miss Marion Copley, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Copley, 135, Summer Lane, Wombwell, was married at Wombwell Parish Church on Saturday by the Rector, the Rev. J. St. Leger Blakeney, to Mr. Robert Hodgson, Thackley, Bradford. The bride has been a teacher on the staff of the Kexborough School (Barnsley). She was educated at Wath Grammar School, and her first appointment was to the staff of the Park Street infant school. Given away by her father, she wore a gown of blue chiffon velvet and lace and carried a shower bouquet of cream roses and white heather. Her headdress was of lace trimmed with orange blossom. She was attended by Misses Bertha Copley, Dorothy Haigh and Mary Hodgson, who were in blue satin and carried muffs and sprays of white heather. Their caps were of blue lace, and they had white heather coronets. The best man was Mr. T. Hodgson, and the groomsmen Messrs. B. Copley and F. Atkinson.
