South Yorkshire Greyhounds – John Binns (Chairman)

April 1928

Mexborough and Swinton Times April 20, 1928

Mr. J. BINNS,

Chairman of South Yorkshire Greyhounds (Wombwell), Ltd.

Mr. John Binns, the chairman of the directors of the South Yorkshire Greyhounds (Wombwell), Ltd., is a while non-public man of Keighley. where he has been a member of the local Council for many years. He has taken a great interest in the development of sport facilities in his own district, and has been associated with greyhound racing since the port became popular.

He considers that Wombwell is well  situated as a centre for greyhound racing and thinks the sport will “take on.”
