Conisborough’s Oldest Resident Dead.
The oldest Conisborough resident, Mr. John Turnbull, of Castle Street, died yesterday morning at the age of 87.
He was a native of Wombwell, and came to Conisborough to establish a tailoring business 35 years ago, and from this he retired four years since.
He was well-known throughout the area for his apiary and for his collection of cactus plants, both of which attracted visitors.
The funeral will take place at Wombwell on Tuesday.
