Obituary – Mrs Foster.

Cortonwood mourns the loss of a likeable personality by the death of Mrs. Caroline Foster (60) wife of Harry Foster, of 70 Knollbeck Lane.

Mrs Foster passed away on Tuesday of last week and was interred at Wombwell Cemetery, on Friday the service being conducted by the Rev. E. S. Rowe.

Born at Wooley near Barnsley, Mrs. Foster was a daughter of Mr. Jacob Parrish, who removed to Wombwell when she was only two years old.

Except for that short period she had lived in Wombwell all her life and was very well known among the older inhabitants. She had been in poor health for many years but was a loyal and consistent worker at Cortonwood Methodist Church. She was a member of the Church Sisterhood and generously supported all church organisations.

In that little circle she will be very much missed.
