Obituary – John Coulson
The death occurred in hospital in Sheffield on Saturday of Mr. John Coulson (58), caretaker of Barclay’s Bank, in High Street, Wombwell.
Mr. Coulson was a native of Durham and came to Wombwell from Maltby eighteen years ago.
He had been connected with the Salvation Army.
Mr. Coulson was well known for his keen interest in sport. He was one of the founders of the Wombwell football Club in 1925.He represented the supporters on the club’s directorate for a number of seasons.
He was also president of the Wombwell Homing Society.
