Cricket Aftermath.

Hickleton Main have carried off the championship the Mexbro’ League for the fifth time in the. League’s eleven years’ existence, their previous successes having been in 1898, 1904 and 1905.

In thair concluding match they were opposed to Hoyland Silkstone, and secured a runaway victory. Beckett was in irresistible form with the ball, securing eight wickets. Hoyland only made 52, and these were hit off without loss Alwvn Turner (29) and J. Williamson (10).

Mitchell Main, the runners-up. only drew with Monk Bretton, for whom W.H. Smith played a grand innings of 65. The “Monks” totalled 136, and Mitchell’s replied with 65 for three.
