Wombwell District Champions to Meet

Speculation is rife amongst billiard enthusiasts in the Wombwell district with regard to a match to take place under the auspices of the Wombwell and Darfield District Amateur

The parties to meet are J Rodwell of Wombwell WMC and A Thompson (photo) , of Wombwell Reform Club. Rodwell won the championship in the first season the competition was run, and Thompson claimed the honours three years ago. This year both candidates are showing capable form.

The ex-champions meet at the Conservative  Club Wombwell, Tuesday next at 8 PM. Special arrangements will be made for dealing with a record crowd, and the usual collection will be taken in support of the National Blind Institution, for the support of which charity the competition was organised.
