An Astonishing Pilgrimage to the Grave.
Thousands of Visitors

A week ago the spot where Roy Kilner has been laid to rest was clothed with turf. Today there is not a blade of grass within yards of it. Since Tuesday the thousands of pilgrims have trodden the path from the cemetery gates to the graveside.

On Wednesday the procession continued unceasingly from 8 in the morning until nightfall. The visitors numbered thousands and many arrived in motor cars, some having travelled long distances. To prevent congestion the crowd was kept moving, and to prevent damage the grave was roped off. Sixty or 70 people were at the graveside constantly throughout the day.

Again yesterday the grave was visited by hundreds. The wreaths on and around the grave covered adjoining graves and spread over an area of 20 square yards. Many wreaths have been deposited since the interment.
