At nine years of age Jacqueline Robinson, daughter of Mr and Mrs Jack Robinson of 13 Wynmoor Crescent, Brampton has gained a gold bar of the International Dancing Masters Association (old time branch).

She has won many competitions successes and on April 25 will compete at the Empire Rooms, London, in the final of the “Dance News” (All-England) junior trophy.

She got into this final by winning and “all Yorkshire” event at Sheffield.

In the course of a very short dancing career, Jacqueline has won bronze, silver and gold medals and a gold bar.

She hopes eventually to take up dancing professionally.
