Wombwell’s Contribution

A group taken on the recent occasion of the Bishop of Sheffield’s visit to Wombwell to receive the gifts of Wombwell parishioners to the Appeal Fund.

The photograph was taken at the garden fete held at Wombwell Grange, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Walker, which was the occasion of the presentation of the gifts to the Bishop.

In the centre of the group are the Bishop and Mrs. Burrows, on the Bishop’s right are Mrs. Percy Walker and the Rev. J. St. Leger Blakeney, rector of Wombwell, and on Mrs. Burrow’s left are Mr. Percy Walker and Mrs. Blakeney.
