Before a record gate Wombwell secured their most decisive home win in  the Third Division of the National Speedway League last night beating Exeter 51-33.

For Exeter Cyril Rogers secured points honours with 11.

Though weakened by injuries to three of their best riders, Wombwell scored a thrilling win by 45 points to 41 over Cradley Heath in their Third Division National League speedway match at Wombwell last night.
