Wombwell Miners Pleased.

The men employed at six pits in the Wombwell district held meetings yesterday to discuss the terms of settlement, and decided as follows:

Darfield Main commence work immediately, Dearne Valley and Wombwell Main to-day, Cortonwood and Houghton Main nothing definite, but probably Monday, and Mitchell’s Main cannot resume for some days owing to a burst boiler.

The miners as a body were pleased with the settlement, and glad of the opportunity to return to work.
