Mr. Hubert Burrows.

Mr. Hubert Burrows, of the firm of T. Burrows and Sons, motor coach proprietors, Wombwell, has been elected chairman of the Yorkshire Stage Carriage Proprietors’ Association.

The chief function of the organisation is to watch legislation in the interests of operators.

Mr. Burrows holds many trade positions. He is a member of the Regional Fares Committee for the Yorkshire Traffic Area, which assists the Traffic Commission when called on, and for the last nine years has been chairman of the Barnsley and Doncaster area of the Commercial Motor Users’ Association. He still finds time for active interest in local organisations.

He is a vice-president of the Wombwell Old People’s Treat and an official of the C.L.B. Old Comrades.
