Wombwell and Darfield Billiards Championship

The last of the fourth-round matches in the Wombwell and  Darfield championship provided one of the keenest games in the competition, A Henshaw Wombwell Main, defeating J Powell, Wombwell Main by one point.

Sam Gardner (picture), Station Road, is regarded as a likely candidate for the championship. He defeated J Hazzard and J Greenfield in the early rounds.
