Wombwell Accident

Walter Norton (28) labourer, and his wife. Gladys (34), of Wath-road. Brampton, Wombwell, were injured in an accident near the Guide Inn, Wombwell on Saturday night.

Mrs. Norton is detained at Beckett Hospital, with a fractured collar bone and injuries to the head. Mr. Norton was discharged after treatment for multiple lacerations.

At the time of the ace the couple were returning home from the theatre at Wombwell.

Mrs. Norton, who has lost a leg, being pushed in an invalid chair by her husband. The invalid chair Was badley damaged Before being taken to hospital the couple were treated by a doctor In a neighbouring house.

It was a wild night with sleet falling.
