Wombwell’s Easy Defeat of Hull City Res
Wombwell 4 Hull City Res. 1
The Hull City Res. Goalkeeper, Briggs, gave a wonderful exhibition against Wombwell, at Wombwell, yesterday, and his brilliant work alone saved the side from a very heavy defeat, though he was actually beaten four times.
Hull City faced the wind, and within 30 seconds Woods scored for them. However, up to hall-time Hull City were outplayed and mainly on the defensive, and Bolsover scored twice for the home team.
Hull improved slightly in the second half, But, they never looked any other than a losing side. Bolsover completed the “hat, trick” for Wombwell and towards the end Redfearn added a fourth goal.
