By defeating Bradford City Reserves by 3 – 1 Wombwell finished with a double.’’ Wombwell, who have taken ten points from their last six matches, gave a fine display.
Briggs was injured, but he obtained one of the goals. The others were scored by Jones and Ashmore, who gave a splendid display, Hobson failed with a penalty. Chambers scored for the losers.

United gained the “double” by beating Rotherham United Reserves by 5-1 at Millmoor, and also rendered their position in the Midland League secure.
The home side made a very poor show. Adams scored twice for the visitors inside fifteen minutes, and Siddall put on a third before the interval. Wraith and Siddall increased the score in the second half, and Crawford scored for Rotherham.
