Wombwell 2 Frickley 2

Wombwell seemed to have victory in their grasp at Wombwell, but Frickley made a great rally, and managed to draw 2—2.

Wombwell started in clever fashion. For long time they were masters of the situation, and kept the Frickley backs extended.

During this spell Fisher and Bradford scored for Wombwell. Grice reduced the lead just before half-time.

In second half Wombwell had the misfortune to lose their left half, Sanderson, and afterwards Frickley rallied and Greatorex equalised.
