Wombwell, making their first home appearance last night against Worksop, drew 1-1 in a keenly-contested game.

It was a tribute to Wombwell’s young forwards that they never allowed the sturdy Worksop defenders to throw them off their balance.

The first half was evenly contested,  but afterwards Wombwell had more of the play and with bit of luck would have won outright. Stocks played well in the Worksop goal.
