Wombwell Lose at Home by Orphan Goal.
Wombwell 0 Loughborough Corinthians 1
The winding up of the “feast” programme Wombwell last evening was not very encouraging to the Wombwell supporters, the Hough Laners being beaten by Loughborough Corinthians.
Loughborough showed the better idea of movement, but Wombwell were below form. They were hampered through the absence of Brown, one of the best backs, who was injured the previous day against Mexborough.
Further misfortune befell them in an injury to Smith (N.), who was a passenger after 20 minutes. Hallam scored for Loughborough mid-way through the second half.
