Wombwell 0 Lincoln City Reserves 9
Wombwell were defeated 9 – 0 on their own ground by Lincoln City Reserves.
The visitors’ wore obviously the better side but the score rather exaggerated their superiority. There were periods in the second half when only the cleverness of Poskett in goal prevented Wombwell scoring.
Lincoln scored five of their goal in the first half. The scorers were Read (4), Atkinson (2), Towler (2), and Pringle. Lincoln failed with a penalty shot.
