Barraclough – Oxley

At Wombwell Parish Church, on Saturday, the wedding took place of Miss Dorothy Oxley, seventh daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Edwin Oxley, 64, Broomhill, Wombwell, and Mr John William Barraclough, son of Mrs and the late Mr. Joshus Barraclough, 8, Hatfield Street, Wombwell, the Reverend J. St Leger Blakeney officiating.

The bride was given away by her brother, Mr Arnold Oxley, and wore blue crêpe suede and carried cream roses.

The maids, Mrs Elsie Oxley and Alice Barraclough, wore loose crêpe suede and blue georgette respectively.

The best man was Mr Harry Marshall, and the groomsman Mr Joss Barraclough Junior.
