Peel-Briggs

Miss Eileen Briggs, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Briggs, Beech House Road. Hemingfield, was married at Hemingfield Methodist Church on Saturday to Mr. Herbert William Peel, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. K. Peel, of Wombwell, the Rev. P. T. Hutchison officiating.

The bride wore white corded silk and white silk shoes, and carried lilies. She was attended by Misses Francis Peel, Annie Chambers, Kathleen Skews, and Mabel Skews, in powder blue crepe de chine, and carrying pink tulips. Two small attendants Margaret Hunt and lda Harper, wore white and carried baskets of flowers.

The best man was Mr. Clifford Peel and the groomsman Mr. Roland Briggs. Bride and bridegroom are prominent members of the Methodist Church at Hemingfield. Among the presents were an oak clock from Mr. and Mrs. E. Harrall of Barnsley, and a pouffe from Mr. and Mrs. C. Smith, of West Melton, in whose employ the bride bad been.
