Popplewell—Wroe.

The wedding of Miss Sylvia Wroe, daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. R. M. Wroe, 143, Barnsley Road, Wombwell, and Mr. Walter Popplewell, Broad Street, Hoyland, took Place at Wombwell on Monday, the Rev. J. St. Leger Blakeney officiating.

The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. J. Wroe, wore white satin beanie, and carried white lilies. She was attended by Misses G. Green and L. Popplewell, who were in green floral georgette, ‘ and carried pink roses. Two small attendants, Misses C. Wroe and C. Popplewell, wore pink silk trimmed with net.

The best man was Mr. J. Popplewell, and the groomsmen, Messrs. E. Wroe and A. Popplewell. A reception was held in the Primitive Methodist school.
