The wedding took place at Brampton Bierlow Parish Church on Monday, of Miss Doreen C. M. Windle, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Wlndle, of 9. The Green, West Melton, to Mr. Thomas Auckland, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Auckland, 26, Alma Street, Wombwell.

Given away by her fathr, the bride wore a gown of white satin ,the veil falling from a coronet of orange blossom. She carried tulips.

She was attended by Mrs. G. Auckland, Miss D. Wragg, and Misses Joan and Betty Mangham, all ‘in blue satin.

There were two pages. Harry Mangham (6), and John Hancock (3), in white satin. Best man was Mr. Joe Auckland, and groomsmen Mr. Gordon Lee.
