Burke—Sykes.

Miss Agnes Sykes, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Sykes, 199, Hough Lane, Wombwell, was married at Wombwell Parish Church, on Saturday to Mr. Arthur Burke, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Burks, of Hartley Street, Mexborough.

The Rector of Wombwell, the Rev. J St. Leger Blakeney, officiated.

The bride wore blue crepe Chine with fawn trimmings and small black hat, and carried sweet peas and carnations. The bridesmaids, Miss Annie Smith and Miss Mary Taylor, niece of the bride, wore pillar box red crepe de Chine dresses with hats to match

Mr. Roy Sykes was best man and the bride was given away by her father. The reception was held at the home of the bride.
