The wedding took place at Broomhill Methodist Church, on Saturday of Miss ivy Ada Skews, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Skews, 19, Lundhill Row, Hemingteld, and Mr. William R. H. Hesketh, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hesketh, 58, Park Street, Wombwell.
The bridegroom is a playing member of the Brampton Cricket Club and has earned some distinction as a printer. He is organist at Lundhill Wesleyan Reform Church and has passed his first examination as a local preacher. The bride is a well-known non-comformist and a vocalist.
The Rev. W. Swinnerton officiated.
The bride was given away by her father and wore white georgette and carried lilies. There were four maids, Misses Kathleen Skews and Mabel Skews in blue flowered silk and blue picture hats; Nellie Hesketh in silk flowered ninon and hat of orange felt: and Miss Smith in flowered ninon with fawn felt hat. They carried while chrysanthemums. Mr. Jack Hesketh was best man and Mr. Roy Skews groomsman.
