Wedding: Hodgson & Sharman

At Wombwell Parish Church on Saturday. Miss Edith Sharman, elder daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. Sharman, Brampton Bierlow, Wombwell, was married to Mr. Percy Hodgson second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Hodgson, Rimington Road, Wombwell. The Rey. J. St, Leger Blakeney officiated.

The bride looked charming in white satin and lace and wore wreath and veil. Her bouquet was of cream roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Agnes Sharman, and the sister of the bridegroom, Miss Marjorie Hodgson, who were dressed in pink lace and georgette. and carried pink carnations.

The best man was Mr. Ronald Hodgson and the groomsman Mr. Colin Dixon. A reception was held at the “Arc” restaurant, Wombwell, the bride and bridegroom leaving for a honeymoon at Scarborough. The bridegroom, who is an official at Darfield Main Colliery, received a case of cutlery from his colleagues.
