Mr A Grummett (Wombwell) and Miss L Sawyer (Wombwell)

At Wombwell Parish Church on Saturday. Miss Lucy Sawyer, the youngest daughter of Mrs. L. Sawyer, of 255. Hough Lane, Wombwell, and the late Mr. William Sawyer, was married to Mr. Arthur Grummett, only son of Mrs. Wilson of Hough Lane, Wombwell, and the late Mr. Arthur Grummett.

The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Frank Sawyer, and wore white lace with veil and wreath of camellias, the dress forming a train. Her bouquet was of lilies.

The bridesmaid was Miss Elaine Wooton, who wore white satin with red velvet trimmings and organdie head-dress with trimmings to match. Her bouquet was of red carnations.

The page, Michael Beardsmore, wore a white satin suit and carried a silver horseshoe which he presented to the bride. Best man was Mr. Sydney Walshaw, and groomsman Mr. Jack Beardsmore. The conveyances for the wedding were supplied by Messrs. M. Charlesworth and Son, private car and taxi proprietors, 3. York Street, Wombwell.
