Mr. R. White (Wallsend) and Miss E Rhodes (Wombwell).

Miss Eva Rhodes, 14, Foley Avenue, Wombwell , fourth daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rhodes, formerly of Lundhill, had nine attendants at her marriage at Wombwell Parish Church on Saturday to Mr. Robert William White, third son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry White, of 13. Davis Street. Wallsend-on-Tyne.

The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Jack Rhodes, Military Police, and the service was conducted by the Rector, Canon J. St. Leger Blakeney.

The bride wore a gown of white cloque with veil and wreath of orange blossom. Her bouquet was of pink carnations. Attendants were Miss Leah Rhodes (sister), Miss Nancy Morris and Miss Margaret Morris, of Sheffield, in blue silk with floral head-dresses; Miss Mildred Waring and Miss Doris Rhodes., In white satin; Edith and Olive Philip aged 11 and 9, in blue satin; Taylor (6), and Terence Clarke (6), train-bearers, the first in white satin and the boy in blue velvet trousers and white satin blouse.

The best man was Mr. William White, R.A.F., and the groomsman Mr. E. T. Clarke.
