Wedding – Rance & Hawkins

At Wombwell Parish Church on Saturday Miss Gladys Hawkins, only daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. W. Hawkins, Station Lane, was married to Mr. Charles Rance, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rance, of Hemlngfield, The Rev. J. St. Leger Blakeney officiating.
The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. Gordon Hawkins, wore egg blue satin trimmed with silk net and caried cream roses. The bridesmaids, the Misses Ina Dobie and Edith Kendall wore shell pink and red marocain.
The best man was Mr. Herbert Rance. The honeymoon is being spent touring the south of England. The bridegroom is assistant manager of the Wombwell Empire, of which his sister, Mrs. B. Stewart is proprietor.
