Wedding – Poppleton and Robinson

The wedding was solemnised at Brampton Parish Church on Saturday of Miss Catherine Poppleton, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Poppleton, High Street, West Melton, to Mr. William Noel Robinson, only son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Robinson, of Lancaster.

The bride wore a dusky pink dress with brown coat and accessories, and carried white chrysanthemums.  She was given away by her brother, Mr. J. A. Carr, and was attended by Mrs. B. Fell, in a tweed costume with brown accessories.  Mr. E. Fell was best man.

The bridegroom, who is serving with the R.A.F., was formerly a member of the West Riding Constabulary, stationed at Swinton.

The bride, secretary to Dr. T. D. Todd, of Wath, will be remembered as a former May Queen and head girl at Brampton Ellis School.
