Seaman George Picker, son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Picker, 30, Aldham Cottages, Barnsley Road. Wombwell, arrived home on leave unexpectedly to act as groomsman at the wedding of his sister, Miss Mary Picker, at Wombwell Parish Church on Saturday to Mr. Harry Stocks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Stocks, of 16. George Street, Hipperholme, near Halifax.

The bride was given away by her father. She wore a smart cloud pink two-piece with brown accessories. and a spray of carnations.

Her two attendants were Mrs. Annie Burgin in blue. and Mrs. Nellie Barham in a floral dress. Best man was Mr. Charles Barham, and the groomsmen Seaman George Picker and Mr. Fred Picker.
