Wedding: Noble & Utley
The wedding took place on Saturday at St. George’s Church, Jump, of Mr. Albert Utley, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Utley, 112 Tankersley, and Miss Florence Alice Noble , second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Noble, Fidelia Cottage, Jump.
The best man was Mr Fred Bottomley (Tankersley) and the groomsman Mr. Edwin Utley.
The maids were Misses Margaret Noble, Edith Noble, Jessie Utley, Phyllis Jepson, Gwennie Carter and Ruch Caunt. Two trainbearers were Joyce Noble and Arthur Utley.
The bride was given away by her father and wore ivory satin beaute with coatee and a coronet of white heather and carried pink carnations. The Misses Noble wore pale pink lace and georgette. Misses Utley, Jepson, Carter and Caunt, rose-pink satin. The train bearers wore pole-pink satin.
The Rev. J. E. Broadbent officiated. The service was fully choral and the hymns, “The voice that breathed o’er Eden” and “Lead us, heavenly Father,” were sung. The organist played Mendelssohn’s’ Wedding March.
A reception was held in St. George’s School.
