Wombwell Officer Wed.
Capt- James Orrell M.C., (R.F.A.), was married at the Parish Church, Wombwell on Wednesday to Miss Edith Emma Ledger; fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ledger, of 2, Blythe street, Wombwell.
Capt. Orrell is a native of Wombwell, but resides at Brampton Bierlow. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore white satin with silver embroidery, and carried a handsome bouquet. She was attended by Miss Laura Johnson (niece of the bride), and Miss Mabel Jones (niece of the bridegroom. Both wore pale blue crepe-de-chene with hats to match, and carried sheaths of lilies, carnations and ferns. The best man was Lient, S, Wake, York and Lancaster Regt., and the

Capt. Orrell was serving in the ranks at the outbreak of war. He has seen service in the Argonne and in Macedonia, and his promotion was astonishingly rapid.
