The wedding took place at Brampton Bierlow Parish Church of Mr. Charles Andrews, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Andrews, of 11, Knoll Beck Lane. Brampton. Wombwell, to Miss Alice Ann Lacey. daughter of Mrs. Lacey, of 37, Manor Road. Goldthorpe, and the late Mr. George Thomas Lacey.
The service was conducted by the Rev. C. L. Suggit. Given away by her brother, Mr. Thomas Lacey, the bride wore a period gown of white satin, her long veil and train falling from a coronet of orange blossom. She carried red carnations.
Bridesmaids were Miss Joan Eastwood. Miss Sally Woodhead. Miss Helena Woodhead and Miss Doris Driver. They wore pastel shades of taffeta with silver leaf head-dresses and carried daffodils. Best man was Mr. Eric Lacey and groomsman Mr. Harry Woodhead.
The bridegroom is well known in local football circles. His best man, Mr. Erie Lacey, was formerly schoolboy international footballer and is a member of Barnsley Football Club.
