Wedding – Holroyd – Allott
At Wombwell Parish Church on Saturday, the wedding took place of Miss Evelyn Holroyd, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Holroyd, to Wombwell Main, and Mr. Frank Allott, only son of Mrs. Allott, Cemetery Road. Wombwell, the Rev. J. St. Leger Blakeney officiating.
The bride wore blue satin with fawn felt hat and carried white Chrysanthemums. The maids. Misses Lily Cook (Barnsley), in green crepe de Chine, and Gladys and Doris Simplon in beige crepe de Chine carried yellow and pink chrysanthemums.
The best man was Mr. George Eyre (Goldthorpe), and the groomsman Mr. Sidney Wilson.
