Wedding ‘Frees ‘ A Bungalow

John W Thorpe (76) and Clara Renhard (70) of Wombwell, took a step toward solving the housing problem when they were married at Barnsley on Saturday.

Occupants of separate bungalows as tenants nf Wombwell Urban Council they will now require only one.

John William, formerly a carter employed by the Council, said: One house will do for both of us. We will give somebody else a chance.”

John lost his second wife a year ago. Clara has been a widow two Years. Both have grandchildren. Clara’s neighbour, Mrs. C. Fletcher, was bridesmaid.
