Wedding – Ellis & Pettinger
Mr Phyllis Alice, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Frederick John Ellis, of 24, Lundhill Row, Hemingfield, was married at Wombwell Parish Church on Boxing Day to Mr Thomas William Petty Jack, son of Mr and Mrs Tom Petty Jack, of 45 Milton St, Wombwell.
The rector of Wombwell, the Rev. J. St Leger blackening, officiated.
The bride wore blue crêpe suede with large blue hat to match an okay was of pink and white carnations and lilies. The bridesmaids Mrs Hazel James and Irene Stennett, wore blue and green crêpe suede respectively to 2 hats to match. Their bouquets were of pink carnations and white lilac.
The best man was Mr Harry Pettinger, brother, and Mr. Lewis Scott, of Upton, officiated as groomsmen. Mr Ellis gave his daughter away.
More than a hundred guests were entertained at the reception at Lundhill Wesleyan Reform Church, where the bride formerly attended.
