At Wombwell Parish Church on Monday, Miss Dora Coultard, only daughter of Mr. Herbert Coultard. 39, Wombwell Main, was married to Mr. John Henry Clarke, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Clarke. 33. Hough Lane. Wombwell.

The service was conducted by Canon J. St. Leger Blakeney, and Mr. J. Harrington was at the organ.

The bride was given away by her father, and wore silver brocade with veil forming a train, which was carried by Joan Littledyke. The bride’s bouquet was of red roses. Attendants were Misses D. Clarke. A. Hutchinson. V. Naylor, Z. Clarke, N. Dorlin and J. Clarke.

Best man was Mr. C. Clarke, and groomsmen were Flight- Sergeant C. Dorlin and Mr. J. Woosey: ushers were Mr. C. Counter and Mr T. A. Hanson.

Having joined the R.A.F. a fortnight ago, the bride’s brother, Mr. Arthur Coultard, was unable to fulfil a promise’ to act as a groomsman.
