At Wombwell Parish Church on Saturday Miss Beatrice Ivy Cooper; younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Cooper, 16, Mellor Road, Wombwell, was married by the Rector Canon J, St. Leger Blakeney, to Mr. Stanley Hyde. fourth son of Mr. and William Hyde, of 1, Wright Crescent. Wombwell.
Given away by her brother, Mr. Nathan Cooper, the bride wore white satin beaute with veil and wreath of orange blossom and had a bouquet of pink carnations. She also wore a gold wrist watch, the gift of the bridegroom.
The bridesmaids were Miss Elsie Bell and Miss Martha Tonks. They won pink satin beaute, with gold headdresses and gold shoes to match. Their bouquets were of sweet peas.
There were also two smaller attendants, Maude Bell (5), niece of the bride and Marjorie Tanks (7). in pale blue crepe de chine, with silver head-dresses and shoes. They carried Victorian posies ci sweet peas.
The best man was Mr. Harry Hyde, brother of the bridegroom, and the groomsman Mr. Norman Hyde. brother of the bridegroom.
At the reception at the home of the bride Mrs. Cooper wore blue satin. The bridegroom’s mother was in brown crepe de chine with hat to tone.
