Wedding: Chappell & Brogan

Nuptial mass was celebrated at the wedding at St. Michael’s (R.C.) Church, Wombwell, on Monday, of Miss Margaret Brogan (younger daughter of Mr. Patrick and the late Mrs. Brogan), and Mr. Stephen Chappell (only son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Chappell), 148, Hough Lane. Wombwell.

The service was choral, with Miss Morse, headmistress of St. Michael’s School, at the organ. The Rev. M. Goaley officiated. The bride wore a gown of white satin beaute, with veil and wreath of orange blossom, and carried lilies and fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Mary Brogan in fawn georgette, Miss Dora Chappell and Miss Delia Holmes in green floral voile, and little Miss Margaret Philbin, cousin of the bride, in white satin. The elder bridesmaids carried sheaves of collarette dahlias and Miss Philbin had a basket of flowers. Mr. Charles McDonald was best man.
