Wedding: Bretton & Weaver
The wedding took place at Wombwell Parish Church on Saturday of Miss Constance Bretton, 16 Wombwell Main, Wombwell, to Mr. Ernest Weaver, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Weaver of Sheffield.
The bride wore peach satin with picture hat to match, and carried a bouquet of lemon tea roses. She was given away by her uncle, Mr. Wm. Bretton.
Misses Joyce and Sylvia Bretton, cousins of the bride, acted as bridesmaids, wearing green taffeta, with hats to match, and carrying posies of primroses. Mr. Geo. Shaw, of Sheffield, was best man and Mr. Harry Liversidge was groomsman.
The rector of Wombwell, the Rev. J. St. leger Blakeney, officiated.
A reception was held at the bride’s home, after which the couple left for Blackpool, where they are spending their honeymoon. The bridegroom is a member of the police force, stationed in Bakewell.
