Wedding – Allott & Kenworthy

A large congregation in the Wombwell Parish Church on Wednesday attended the wedding of Miss Ada Eveleen Allott, elder daughter of Capt. A. E. and Mrs. Allott, of the Sycamores, Heraingfield, to Mr. JohnGraham Kenworthy, Westville, Westville Road, Barnsley, son of the late Mr. John Kenworthy, a well known Barnsley iron founder.

Both bride and bridegroom are keen golfers. The bridegroom is a member of the Barnsley club. The bride has assisted in organisations of the Wombell Parish Church. She was an enthusiastic member of the Wombwell Swimming Club.

Capt. Allott was for over twenty years a member of the Wombwell Urban Council, and is a director of the Barnsley Co-operative Society.
