Travel Agency Is New Service For Wombwell

A new and useful service – the organisation of travel both in this country and abroad – has been brought to Wombwell by Mr. Roy Taber, principal of the firm of Taber Travel (Bradford) Ltd. A successful business venture has now expanded to 14 High Street, the fourth branch to be opened by the firm in the past three years.

This brings to a comparatively small town a variety of travel services normally available only in largo towns and cities, package holidays and independent travel being efficiently and quickly arranged. They cope with land, sea and air travel, and also arrange passports, visas and all necessary documents, and will have on demand foreign currency and travellers cheques.

Although well-travelled Mr. Taber keeps a personal and conscientious eye on all aspects of his business, he has obtained as manager of the Wombwell branch Mr. Harry Firth. who also has wide experience of travel both as a civilian and in charge of transport in the R.A.F.

To cope with an expected rush of summer holiday bookings, Miss Janice Tutill, (16). of Wombwell has been appointed counter-clerk, having been selected from a large number of applicants.

In addition to popular package deals which obviate all anxieties about travel and holiday accommodation, the firm leave no stone unturned to organise independent and individual travel requirements.

Fluorescent people wishing to visit relatives and friends abroad but have no knowledge other than the address can all problems of travel sorted out, that pass into the experts all the worries and anxieties

“No matter how offbeat the request, it then becomes our problem,” says Mr Taber confidently.
