The Map Maker

11 years old William Littlewood is explaining to his school-fellows a relief map of the Dearne Valley area he has made out of ordnance maps and plywood for King’s Road Council School, Wombwell.

The map, which shows all the contours and topographical features of the district, is used for school instruction.
