The Local Distress

Bread was distributed to members of the Mitchell Main branch of the wire made yesterday (Thursday) at the rate of one month per child, the costs being borne by the “Daily Herald” Said the Children Fund.

From the same fund Cortonwood issued bread yesterday and Wombwell Main yesterday and last Friday.

The Cortonwood Branch of the wire may made a further distribution of cakes that the guide Post Inn yesterday (Thursday)

The issue of bread at the Reform Club is confined to member’s children but at the Conservative club Wombwell all comers have been served with locals and soup every Wednesday and Saturday
