in Mr Fred Broadbent the company have a very capable and businesslike manager. He is the type of man that knows what he wants and does not rest until he gets it.
He told a press representative that he had been interesting ground racing since its inception and attended Belle Vue, Manchester, the first time electric air racing was tried in England.
Realising that the sport had “caught on,” he commenced negotiations with the G.R.A., with a view to establishing a course at Bradford. On his representations G.R.A. promised that if ever they owned out in the provinces Bradford should have consideration.
Eventually assisted in floating the company known as Greyhound Racing (Greenfield), Ltd with a nominal capital of £25,000. The Greenfield track has been a great success.
